Travelin Sistahs is the brainchild of Tamika. She suggested that we create a blog since we were going to Japan. We figured it would be much easier than emailing pictures and it was! Since I'm a writer, I jumped on board and added my elegant touches here and there (hehe).
The goal of Travelin Sistahs is to highlight our travels throughout various parts of the world, recapture our memories for readers, and showcase two sisters enjoying life. Hopefully, this blog can serve as a resource to fellow travelers as well.
Drumroll please...allow us to introduce ourselves:
Shermika is the trip planner. I plan all of the itineraries...i.e. the FUN stuff. Tamika smiles, gives it the okay, and then asks when we're landing, and what city we're in (check the videos if you don't believe me). I am a fan of all things James Baldwin, am working on a few short stories AND a novel, and hope to backpack around Europe when the 'big day' comes.
Tamika is the companion. I enjoy experiencing the local flavor of wherever we go, documenting our travels via video and camera, and suggesting things along the way. I help fine-tune EACH trip and I coordinate Shermika's writing calendar. I also ensure that each adventure is organized. I love video games and hope to visit Bora Bora to prove to Shermika that it really exists.
So there you have it. Two sisters with a deep love for travel and each other...
